Guest Post: Crafting with Jamee at "Homemaker"- Raggy Washer Necklace Tutorial

Today, my Guest Post is done by Jamee over at "Homemaker"! She is a super creative gal and even has an Etsy shop with the cutest little children's clothing (there's a link to it on her blog). She also plans the crafts for her MOPS group- so you know a few of her crafts are things EVERY mom can do! I met Jamee several years ago, via our MOPS group where I used to live, and also at a few scrapbooking parties that a mutual friend held. But, again, we were just acquaintances... then I stopped by her blog sometime in the last 6 months because I really liked one of the projects she had linked up to a craft link party! Then, I realized- - hey! I actually know this gal! :) And, have enjoyed all her posts & creative shares since. I know you will enjoy her tutorial she's prepared for us today, too! Make sure to go check out her blog as well for more creative tutorials.

Raggy Washer Necklace Tutorial

Hi, my name is Jamee from http://jameehomemaker.blogspot.com. I am a SAHM who loves to craft, sew and create. I am so glad Sarah has invited me over to show you a craft I recently finished, but before I do I would like to tell you how it came about. I was reading blogs one evening and came across this cute craft from http://kraftymum.blogspot.com. She took empty ribbon spools and wrapped them with scrap fabric to make the cutest bracelets. I had to try it right away. So I took my ribbon spools and tore the front and back paper off to get to the spool.
Then I wrapped it with some scrap fabric I had left over. For a nice frayed edge, you need to tear the fabric. I used a hot glue gun to glue into place. Here are the bracelets I did.
So after I made these, I look down and see a washer sitting there that was screaming to be wrapped too.
I also used hot glue to start wrapping the scrap around and glued every few wraps.

Once I finished I felt it needed some hot fix- iron on rhinestones.

I ironed them on and put it on a necklace to get this gem!
It is amazing how one craft always leads to another (If only we had the time to do them all!).

I'm so, sooo pumped after seeing this tutorial! I love how original, and how CUTE this is! Don't you? Thank you so much, Jamee for sharing your amazing creativity with us.

Don't forget tomorrow is the Recipe Share Party, as always! So, go ahead and get those recipe posts ready to c'mon over & share a recipe y'all. :) See you there.
