until this year. {Not that we don't love our earth.}
I think when you have pre-schoolers though,
every little Italic Word on the Calendar's dated boxes
becomes a day to celebrate & learn something new!!
So we did!
We got to participate in our local library's storytime- -
all about Trash & Recycling.
They had our local Recycling plant manager come talk to the kiddos...
They got to recycle...
that's my little buddy throwing in the water bottles!
This is my fave picture from the whole thing! :)
The boys got to load up some of the recycled stuff. Cooool!
Their favorite part- - "driving" the truck.
Oh, wait... maybe snack time is their fave.
See those cute tiny green reusable bags they received?!
Darling.
We also did a craft- of course! :)
Cupcake liner earth(s)+food coloring+
water+glue,
construction paper & crayons=
a messy, but truly adorable craft.
And in our little preschool time...
we're learning the letter "N".
As in, "N" is for Nest!
So we made a couple chocolate bird's nest treats
(See my Recipe Share post for the recipe).
Look at his messy, choco mouth. :)
And there's the fake smile. ha!
They turned out super pretty!!! And yummy.
We also took a little nature walk,
and observed the bird's nest right out in our front yard!
Sooo fun.
Then, we talked about how God made the earth,
and all the living things in and on the earth.
We had a sweet little conversation about all of that. :)
Happy ♥ for Mommy.
Hope Earth Day was as fun for all y'all!
I know it's over this year, but maybe this will spark
some ideas for next year...
so I'm linking to ABC&123's link party
